Cookie policy

This site sets no cookies. The one thing it remembers in your browser is your theme choice, and that is not a cookie. Here is exactly what is stored and why.

Updated:

This site does not set cookies. This page says what that covers, and the one thing it does keep in your browser.

Cookies

None. Nothing on this site writes a cookie, and nothing it loads does either. Because there are no cookies, there is no consent banner: there is nothing to accept, and nothing to refuse.

The one value kept locally: your theme

When you switch between light and dark, the site remembers the choice in your browser’s localStorage under the key tignex-theme, so the next page opens in the same theme.

  • It is a single word describing your choice. It holds nothing about you.
  • It stays on your device. It is not sent to a server with any request.
  • It is not a cookie. It is browser storage that only this site’s own pages can read.
  • Choosing the system setting deletes the stored value.

Analytics

Analytics is off unless a beacon token is set when the site is built. When it is on, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without an identifier that follows you from one site to another. The privacy policy describes it in more detail.

Embedded third-party content

No page embeds third-party content that could set its own cookies. The comment system that the site template supports (giscus) is switched off, and fonts are served from this domain. If that ever changes, this page changes first.

Clearing what is stored

Clearing your browser’s site data removes the theme value. The only effect is that the site goes back to following your system’s light or dark setting until you pick one again.
