Terms of use
Terms of use
The terms for using this site: what it covers, how site content differs from project licences, acceptable use, no warranty, and how these terms change.
Updated:
These terms cover your use of this website. By using it you accept them; if you do not, please do not use the site.
Scope
This site is the Tignex site and is published by Centvix, of which Tignex is part. In these terms, “the publisher” means Centvix.
These terms apply to the pages, articles, documentation and other material published on this site. They do not apply to other sites that the site links to, such as GitHub or the projects’ own domains. Those are run by others and have their own terms.
Site content and software licences
The site and the software are two different things, and they are licensed separately.
- Site content. The text, design and other material of this site are published so they can be read and linked to. Quoting short passages with attribution and a link back is welcome. Republishing whole pages, or presenting the content as your own, is not.
- Software. Each project is distributed under the licence in its own
repository. That licence decides what you may do with the code, and these
terms do not add to it or take from it. Check the project’s
LICENSEfile.
Acceptable use
Use the site in good faith. In particular, do not:
- attempt to disrupt the site or the host that serves it, or to gain access to anything that is not published;
- send automated traffic that degrades the site for other readers;
- present the site’s content, name or marks in a way that suggests the publisher endorses you or your product when it does not.
No warranty and limited liability
The site and everything on it is provided as it is. The content is written with care and may still contain mistakes, or be out of date. Technical material describes the versions it names and nothing else, so check it against the project’s own documentation before relying on it.
To the extent that is permitted, the publisher is not liable for loss or damage arising from using the site or from relying on its content.
Changes and effective date
These terms may change. The date at the top of this page is the date of the latest revision, and the revised terms apply from that date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
